Learn to prepare Tave Kosi, Albania’s most iconic dish, affectionately known as the 'Independence Dish' because it was the favorite of Ismail Qemali, the first Prime Minister of Albania. Explore the traditions and rules that define Albanian cuisine and their historical roots. As you cook, enjoy the company of fellow participants while sipping on local wine or raki provided by your hosts. You’ll also have the opportunity to make Lakror, the Albanian version of Byrek, from scratch. The hosts emphasize using locally sourced organic ingredients, from fresh herbs and vegetables grown in their garden to their homemade wine and raki.
