Guest House “Maja e Shenikut”
Our guest house got its name from mount Shenik, 2552 m high, where it is located and surrounded from the fabulous beauties of the nature.
Generation after generation, our family has welcomed visitors from different countries, but in recent years the number keeps increasing and let's say that we have a nice guesthouse. It is composed of 5 rooms and 2 bathrooms with a capacity of 20 people as well as a large yard used for camping or cars.
The tourists who visit our guesthouse are mainly foreigners, Germans, Czechs, Poles, who are passionate about mountain trails and adventures in nature, but recently, tourists from other countries such as Italy, Canada, and France etc…..are visiting also.
We offer traditional dishes of the area such as: venison meat, goat cheese, “mishavine”,” kacimak”, different  pickles, smoked meat, beans with meat, cabbage with meat, pies, hot cheese, “jardun” and many other recipes...all homemade, fresh from garden or the areas around.
Tourists can see way of living in the village, for example, working the land, looking the livestock. We offer horse riding and walking in the nature. The most interesting places to visit are the “Gjacke Cave”,” Uji of Musavat”, from where Vezir Pasha used to drink and the “Kelmendi Fortress”, which is also a protected natural monument. Near the house we have a gentleman who has the best information about the area, history, legends, culture and tradition; he plays musical instruments, works on them and sings. Many tourists have visited him and have been impressed.
For the tourists, we offer breakfast, dinner and bed packages for 35 Euros, the food is plentiful.
The guesthouse is located in the village of Nikc, which is one hour away from Tamara and serves as a connecting bridge while trekking from Thethi to Lepushe, a very common trip realized from the foreigners to discover the hidden gems of the marvelous nature that surrounds everything, everywhere.
